With the recent flash flood devastation in the Balkan region of Eastern Europe, a large part of Croatia, Bosnia, and Serbia remain under high flood waters.
Inspired by Irmin van der Meijden, who organised 'Help the Balkans BEAT THE FLOODS!' in Amsterdam on the 7th of June 2014, I wanted to do my bit. So I put the song 'Poplava' on my Bandcamp for download, and donated all the proceeds to this cause.

I'm a big Balkanaut, and as a musician my heart beats in 7/8. But now my heart cries in 7/8. Poplava is a song I made some time ago, as a reinterpretation of the great folksong in 7-8 time 'Blaguno dejce, mori pozarance' (Oh you beautiful girl of Pozarevac). Now put on Bandcamp specifically to raise money for the Balkans under the name Poplava (flooding, and it has 'pop' in it. see what I did there?).
